The book i am reading is called Slam!. the book is about a boy name Greg Harris or "slam". something i like about the main character is that i can relate to his situation in the story. he is a high school basketball player and he was called to the office because his grades weren't good enough to play sports. i can relate to this because during my freshman year i missed out on the second half of basketball season because i was ineligible to play. one thing i like about the author ( Walter Dean Myers ) is that he leaves a suspenseful ending on some situations, fir example slam's friend ice is potentially a drug dealer and its a big deal to slam but you wont figure out if its true until later in the story this makes you wonder and it gives u a reason to keep reading the book

I actually read this book in middle school and it kind of related to me too, except i didn't play basketball. What was your favorite part in the book? Do you like reading books that relate to your life?
ReplyDeletethis sounds like it could be a good book. it kind of reminds me of myself since i stopped playing basketball freshman year because of my grades. i enjoy reading books about playing basketball especially because i cant play anymore. it brings back good memories :) so would you recommend other people to read this book? why did you pick this book in the first place?
